As a backpacker, when I look for places to stay at night, I usually just look for the cheapest option that doesn’t look absolutely awful. Because I’m usually traveling for a few months, I need to make sure I can stretch every dollar I have. The easiest way to stretch each dollar is saving on accommodation. When I’m traveling on a business trip this is a whole different situation. Although I want to save every penny I have, sleep and comfort is a lot more important during a business trip. I always choose to use Airbnb instead of a hotel for a number of reasons. Save money! First and foremost,
When traveling abroad, sometimes it’s hard to find what we need. I was in Thailand a few months ago and was planning on a trip to one of the islands. No matter where I went I couldn’t find any sunscreen that didn’t have whitening in it. Most cosmetic items contain whitening bleach because fair, pale skin in Thailand, as well as most of Asia, is considered beautiful and pure. I just bought the one with the whitening in it and went on with my life. When on a business trip however, the essential needs aren’t as easily dismissible as say a specific sunscreen. A comfortable workspace, internet/Wi-Fi, printing, faxing, scanning, copying, etc.
